Down to 12 weeks

1/23/17 - 1/29/17 Swim - 2 of 3 Bike - 3 of 3 Run - 3 of 3 Strength Training - 0 Weight to lose - 3 lbs Mileage (weekly / 2017)   Swim - 2482yds / 9,019 yds miles      Bike - 73.8 miles / 152.3 miles   Run - 13.97 miles / 17.97 miles 12 weeks left....and I had a great week, hit all my scheduled workouts, now need to ensure that I continue hit them and get in some strength training as well.  Just an overall great week....now to maintain that for the next 12 weeks. Since this is the 1st time this season that I have posted my workouts and distances, I'm SHOCKED at my run totals.  I knew I had not been focusing on running at all but damn I didn't realize it was that bad.  Definitely need to get that in gear. Race Prep - No alcohol

Last year  I stopped drinking around 3 months from IronMan and I decided that I would do the same again this year as I feel that it helps with focus, hydration and weight loss. We had fun in MD this past weekend and now the 94 days away I need to get dedicated to this race. Key areas to focus on: 1.  Hydration- need to ensure that I'm getting 72 ounces of water daily. 2.  Weight loss - need to get to race weight - I weigh in tomorrow but I'm pretty sure I'm about 30+ lbs away from that. 3.  Healthy eating - need to be consistent with healthy eating to help with #2. 4.  Mental focus - this is always the hardest for me to prepare for but I need to focus on ME for the next 94 days. I'm lucky to continue to have a supportive family but most of all a hubby that understands the craziness that happens and allows me to do my thing. I will begin posting weekly updates to hold myself accountable for what needs to happen in the next 94 days.
