Went to the YMCA today and did 500 yds in the pool and ran 3 miles. I would really consider today my 1st day of training in comparison to the past several weeks in which I have been working out.
Swim
Warm-up - 4x25
Workout - 12x25:20
Cool down - 4x25
The good thing is that I did the entire workout with the freestyle stroke. Yes this is a big deal for me since as soon as I get in the pool I rely on my breast stroke or side stroke. Felt good afterwards.
Run
Warm-up - 5 min / .25 mile
Run - 32 min / 3 mile (10.6 min/mile)
Cool down - 5 min / .25 mile
Focused on my music and got my speed up to 6.5 at the end of the race. Still don't understand why I run better at t the YMCA than I do at home on the treadmill.
Tomrrow is a bike day and PT exercises for my shoulder. Pending how the Dr appointment goes regarding my, hopeful, gallbladder surgery, will depend on what I actually do.
