Already stressing about July when I should be focused on the next 2 weeks

6/2/14 - 6/8/14

Swim - 2

Bike - 2
Run - 3
Strength Training - 0
Weight loss (weekly / year) - 0 lbs / 7.5 lbs
Mileage (weekly / 2014)
  Swim -4,700  yds / 52,000 yds
  Bike - 55.3 miles / 811.28 miles
  Run - 10.67 miles / 231.19 miles

I missed one bike this week and all of my strength training and did not have a good food week and gained weight and I have my 1st race in 2 weeks and that stresses me out but I'm more worried how I'm going to get all my workouts in while the hubby is traveling for work, which is 5 weeks away.  Jeez

So this weekend we went out and drove the bike course, since it's different than the race I did last year and that I'm doing this July.  WOW - OMG - HOLY MOLY - that is one big hill.  The bike course is very intimidating.  There is a VERY LARGE steep hill that makes my head spin thinking about it and it doesn't help that I haven't been outside riding on my bike.  Of course hubby is like you got this, no big deal.  What is the worse thing that can happen........I have to walk my bike up the hill.....not the first and probably not the last.  I'll tackle that issue in 2 weeks.

I need to remember to remain in the here and now and control what I can control.  Managing work, Lane and training for 2 weeks, and racing while the hubby is gone will be tough but I'll do what I can and that is all I can do.

Hopefully this week I'll get back to eating right and get back to the weight I was last week and then go from there.  Breathe girl!

A week of crazy but still good miles

Week of 8/27/2012 - 9/2/20212 Exercise Walking - 0 General Walking - 27.95 miles Stationary Bike - 0 Weight loss - ?? I was a bit shocked that when I was finally able to look at my miles that I actually had 27.95 miles.  That is not a great week but considering that since Tuesday, August 28th we have been staying in a hotel and were driving from Maryland to Texas from August 29th - September 1st, I'm pretty happy with that. As I wrote in the last update, I knew it would be tough to get some exercise in last week and it was.  I decided that this was an adventure and a great opportunity to spend time with the hubby and I was going to enjoy our trip and worry about diet and exercise when we got to Texas and got settled in. The only bad thing that happened on our trip is that my fitbit , may be on its last leg.  I dropped the fitbit early last week and cracked the case and when I say cracked I can see the inside of the device.  Then towards the...

Race schedule set

Week of 12/31/2012 - 1/6/2013 Swimming - 2 Biking - 0 Running -2 Strength Training - 1 Weight loss for week - 0 Total weight loss - 27.5 As reported in the last post the past couple of weeks haven't been great workout weeks and no weight loss. But it happens right, no worries.  I'll get it back on track this week.  My back is feeling MUCH better so I'm going to do some strength training tomorrow and clearly I need to get back to biking.  My road bike is set up on the trainer between the living room and kitchen I just need to spend some time on it.  I've been very focused on swimming and running but need to make sure that I'm giving proper attention to the bike.  Plus with my back being sore I didn't want to make even more sore by getting on the bike. Along with this post you will see I have updated my race schedule.  Races fill up quick around here so I built in a back up race in case one of the races is full.  I've also been working on my 2...

Week 6 - thoughts of quitting

1/4/16 - 1/10/16 Swim - 2 Bike - 0 Run - 2 Strength Training - 0 Weight to lose - 22 lbs Mileage (weekly / 2016)   Swim - 3600 yds / 3600 yds miles      Bike - 0 miles / 0 miles   Run -8.21 miles / 8.21 mile s I don't have to clock in at work but this week I tracked my work hours and I worked roughly 68 hours. Today is the only day I have not worked.....yet (my on call coverage doesn't end till 5). I know plenty of people work as many if not more, but it's been rough on me when I'm getting up at 3:45 to get to the gym and still trying to spend time with my hubby and baby girl (our wonderful doggie).  I have been questioning my ability to juggle this job with m training schedule but this week has been the worst....I actually told myself I wanted to quit. Because I have a great hubby, who wants me to succeed in achieving my goals he listened to me cry and vent, he has been listening to me for awhile and as usual he continues to motivate m...
