Week of 10/1/2012 - 10/7/2012
Running / Walking - 3
Biking - 1
Strength Training - 1
Weight loss for week - 4 lbs
Total weight loss - 10 lbs
I have decided that I want to be safer than sorry and did repeat ChiRunning week 2 and I'm going to do the same this week. The fear of the pain I experienced in June and a possible set back made that decision very easy. While it wasn't a great week for me workout wise, I only worked out a total of 4 days, I did experience an unusually high weight loss week. So I am prepared that might result in a gain or no weight loss this week.
I also decided that I'm going to splurge and join a gym. My primary reason is for access to a swimming pool. I think the pool time will give me the opportunity to do workouts with no impact which will lend to a healthier back. The gym I'm looking at has some pool aerobic classes and has lots of time dedicated to lap time.
I'm also considering trying a yoga class. I have heard and read so many mixed feedback about yoga after back surgery. I'm willing to try anything and will continue to listen to my body and not overdo it. If it helps great if it hurts, I'll stop.
Happy Tuesday!
