I'm 1/3 of the way through my training.....not sure if that is good or bad. I'm feeling more and more motivated each week but still scary that I'm 16 weeks away from a full Ironman, that just doesn't seem like enough time.
The only sessions I didn't hit this week was one bike and the strength training. I really wanted to hit the strength training last week, thinking I would do it in the evenings when I got home but that didn't happen. But I'll keep trying.
Today I swam 2700 yds straight, pretty happy about that knowing that I still had juice in the tank and for the full would need to swim another 1600 yards. I have always been slower in the swimming pool than I am in open water, I'm hoping that is because of all the turning around that I have to do. Also haven't been able to get in the lap pool yet, that damn water is cold!!
So far all my bike training has been indoor on my trainer. I still am having issues with my saddle. It seems to get better as I get more and more distance but I just wish I could ride and be pain free. But this go around the pain was more from chafing than from the pain on the front of my pelvis. I switched shorts with an hour left and that helped but think the damage had already been done.
Mentally I'm in a better place but the training is starting to pick up. I also think I'm going to start adding more to my inspiration board and I need to go in there and look at it every day to help give me the motivation I need.
Next week I have my first nutrition session with Coach Krista and I'm super excited as I know talking to her will help give me some motivation and hopefully help calm my nerves.
