Not a bad week, I did get ONE strength training session in so that is an improvement. But I missed 2 runs, 1 bike and I had weight gain this week - UGH.
But I hit my long bike, long run and both swim sessions and did I say ONE strength training!!
I also stared nutrition conversations with Coach Krista. She made it very clear all the training is important but without good nutrition I won't finish. So I take what she says very serious. I know I'll have to consume more calories on the bike than I have in the past.
This coming week is a recovery week so looking forward to a bit less volume.
I'm getting super excited about our trip to Hawaii for in-laws 50 wedding anniversary. I get to swim in the ocean and run along the beach. I'm not going to rent a bike rather I'll just spin at a local gym. We are only going to be there for a week and I don't want to take my helmet and cycling shoes and somewhat assume that most places are not going to have speedplay.
I'm most disappointed about my weight gain this week however I was not good! I had a few BAD days, eating some fast food. But I can't go back in time, it is what it is, so this week I'll do better - no unplanned eating out and no fast food!
Nutrition...yes indeed!! So excited about how much this is going to change your experience...it is why some people double over and others can still stand. :) It will see you through to the end. And...I love that you have a plan for vacation. Training in the ocean and on the beach...such good energy!! :) Yay Nicol!!!
